Make A Wish

The theme of the current Double D Challenge is SIHLOUETTES. I began to dig though my stash to see what I could find to play with, and I came across Butterfly Kisses from The Craft's Meow. Perfect!

I embossed the fairy image with black EP on Bristol paper. Then I opened up my new Ranger Distress Oxide Inks, watched a few "how to" videos, and created the background. I am so loving these inks!

Time for a new challenge at Time Out Challenge #82 is a Theme Challenge - Flowers with an optional twist of "Kissing" - using two stamps for stamping one image. Tutorial HERE.

The challenge is sponsored by Happy Little Stampers with a $15.00 random winner for those who twist.

This is my take:

I used the kissing technique on the flowers and stems on my card. The background is blended with distress inks with water sprayed and water droplets dropped on the background.

Please go over to the Time Out Blog and check out the inspiration created for you by the Design Team. Create a flower-themed card with or without the twist of the kissing technique, and play along with us by linking up to the gallery.

My GD Gig At MarkerPOP!

MarkerPOP is an online destination for artists looking for inspiration and an outlet to share a common love for markers, especially Copic & Touch markers. The MarkerPOP store carries inkers & mists, papers and pads, stamps & dies, embellishments & accessories. A new weekly challenge is posted every Monday on the MarkerPOP Blog to help keep your creative juices flowing.

On March 5, 2017, THIS card made it to the Top 3 for the Marker Pop Challenge #114 Be My ValentineI was so thrilled that my card was chosen, and even more thrilled that I was invited to Guest Design for Marker Pop #119 - Watercolor Florals.  What a lovely opportunity! When pondering my design, I ran across this gorgeous Hero Arts wood mounted stamp that has been in my stash for a very long time. It certainly is the perfect image for a Watercolor Floral challenge, so I inked it up with VersaMark ink, embossed it with white EP, and colored it with Zigs and a water brush. It was hard to see what I was coloring at first, and really fun to see it come to "life" as I added color and water. The inlaid sentiment is cut with PTI's Wet Paint dies.

Please head on over to the MarkerPOP Blog and see the gorgeous inspiration by the Design Team and Guest Designers. There are some wonderful prizes to be had. You can see all the details in the challenge post. Grab your watercolors and brushes and play along!

hello

Time for a new game at Time Out Challenges. Challenge #81 is a Home Sweet Home Challenge - A photo inspiration challenge with a homey twist!

Here is the inspiration for the challenge:

Time Out Challenge #81 is sponsored by STAMPlorations. The winner will receive a $15.00 gift voucher to shop at the STAMPlorations store, and a random winner winner be chosen to receive their choice of any of the stamps, dies or stencils that the Design Team have used.

Here is my take:

I chose to focus on the variations of reds/pinks plus the accents of black and gray in the photo. I stamped  STAMPlorations Coffee Cup Parade - Artsy Borders image on Ranger water color card stock with Ranger Black Archival Ink using my MISTI. I colored it with Zigs and covered the cups with clear Wink Of Stella. I die cut CUTorations Hello Sunshine Phrase Die from black cardstock, trimmed the word "hello", and glued it to the top panel.

Please head on over to the Time Out Challenge Blog to check out the wonderful inspiration pieces that the design team has created. Let the inspiration photo take you to your creative place, and make soemthing to share in the gallery. Take some Time Out to play with us!

Happy Peepster

Happy Easter, Happy Spring!
I am playing at the following chllneges:

I used Freshly Made Sketches #282 for my design.

The three stitched squares are die cut with SSS Stitched Squares dies, and the peeps are die cut with SSS My Kind Of Peep dies.

Pastel plaids (MFT) and peeps.

Darnell's 2nd Annual April Fool's Boo-Boo Hop and NBUS Challenge #11

I bought SSS My Kind Of Peep stamps and dies last year and never used them until today. I am also posting this card

for Darnell's My Big Fat Card Boo Boo. This was my first pass at Freshly Made Sketch #282. I loved it, and then I went back to read the fine print of the challenge, and saw the part that said that it's an all square sketch!  Oooooooops!!!!! My original card was 4/25 x 5.5. I love the sketch and wanted to enter the challenge, so I started over and made the square card at the top of this post. This cracked me up. Gotta leave it to Darnell to provide a place to share our bloopers!
